Artist's Statement
My interest and fascination lies in the eternal chain and workings of nature. The human hand cannot create in an instant the shapes, patterns, fragility, subtleties and also the force the natural world generates over years of weathering, natural variation and evolution. We may pursue inferior imitations, but we can never outdo the magnificence of nature in all things spanning the perpetual formations of earth to the patterns and shapes of small insects and plants.
‘How can I transfer the joy I receive from the natural world into the works I create?’
This is the question I explore through my art.

私の興味と憧れは、自然界が作り上げてきた悠久の繋がりや営みに向く。
時間をかけて積み重なり変化を遂げている自然界のかたち、模様、儚さや繊細さ、力強さは
人の手では作り出せない、真似をしても決して人の手が勝ることのない領域であるように思う。
自然物に胸高鳴るその感覚を、自分の作り出す作品でも味わえたらと思う。
